I believe this is the third year in a row that Stila has released a series of travel palettes. They're cute and all, but I do think Stila needs to stop with these already. I'd like the company to continue incorporating the Stila girls but maybe go back to their roots, i.e., make some circular trios and duos. Or release some new paint cans – they haven't had any since early 2010.
Anywho, even though I was slightly disappointed with the idea of yet more travel palettes, they were still appealing (and cheap) enough for me to buy. First up is Rockin' in Rio.
I wasn't really struck by this at first – where's the huge statue of Christ the Redeemer? Nothing really screamed Rio to me about this. But I was intrigued by the swirly sidewalk so decided to investigate. Having never visited Rio, I had no idea that the sidewalk is actually a mosaic on Avenue Atlantica designed by landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx.

Overall I'm pleased with this. I still think the series from 2010 is the best, as it included little maps and diaries for the Stila girls (that were better quality than the ones for 2011).
