I thought long and hard whether this palette should make it into the Museum. At last I finally decided against it. However, there is a great story behind it. After narrating a documentary on an Icelandic boy living with autism, actress Kate Winslet started a foundation dedicated to improving these children's lives – the Golden Hat Foundation, named after a poem written by the boy in the film. There's also a beautiful red lipstick with the hat design and Kate's signature on the case:
On the one hand, it's always great to see a makeup product that gives its proceeds to charity. On the other hand, this design is very…literal. Which is the ultimate reason I passed on this. Still, it's a nice idea for a very worthy cause.
