– NARS announced that its holiday 2013 artist collection will be based on Guy Bourdin.
– An XO Jane writer reflects on the 172 hours per year she spends putting on makeup. Glad that she's totally unapologetic, as I am. Meanwhile, Jezebel talks about how truly addictive Sephora is.
– I'm all for inventing new and creative scents, but a fragrance made from combining every single perfume released in 2012 just sounds like it would give everyone within 50 yards a migraine.
– There's a nail art exhibit going on in San Francisco.

– Oooh, one of my favorite bands has a new album coming out!
– Some funny Tumblrs I came across: Ugly Race Pics (I need to submit some of my race pics here) and Bitchface Art.
– Really? Our little town has been invited to bid on the 2024 Summer Olympics.
– The Riot Grrrl collection at the NYU Fales Library (which I have yet to make a pilgrimage to) is getting its own book. Speaking of NYC, I also need to plan a trip to see this exhibition.
– Splitsider has a good analysis of animated TV shows in the aughts.
