Paul & Joe spring 2010

Paul & Joe went back to their original round design (instead of the funky ovals they had for the Fall 2009 collection) for their Wildflowers collection.  These were actually released before the Alice in Wonderland stuff but I wanted to wait until horrible January and February were over to post!  Those months are no time to be talking about springy flower-based collections.  :)  I'm really digging the theme for this spring – what could be better than wildflowers?  The ad copy this time is pretty good too:

"Free and uninhibited, blooming all over at will…bathed in spring sunshine and surrounded by flowers…put the colours of fully blooming spring flowers into a palette and portray the one and only just as you please.  Brimming with shades of spring…turn on the charm with these enchanting colours…Honeysuckle, Lady's Slipper and Purple Clover perfectly embody the spirit of renewal and the blossoming romance of nature."

Spot on!  Now for the face and eye colors.

Honeysuckle, with and without flash:

There were also a few lip balms which I didn't buy – I find the face powders to be far more interesting packaging-wise.  As with every Paul & Joe collection I'm always on the lookout to see if their designs were included in the fashion, and it looks like the cats appeared on a tunic in the resort line.

I wonder what Sophie Albou's fascination with cats is – it seems like they're on almost every collection.  I like that these particular felines are rendered more playfully and not quite as literal as some of her others, as it fits the Wildflower theme.

I think this is one of the strongest Paul & Joe collections to date (or it could just be that I'm eager for spring so these are especially appealing to me.)  What do you think?
